On February 6th, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria, and a subsequent one hit on February 20th. As the death toll increases past 50,000, thousands of families are left homeless and grieving.

It is not uncommon to feel helpless when disaster strikes on the other side of the world, but YOU CAN HELP.

• $50 will buy winter blankets for a family of 6. 

• $100 will feed a family of 6 for two weeks.

• $500 will provide a safe small apartment for a family to live in for 3 months.
  
  

Send supplies to the persecuted church (choose February Earthquake Initiative)

Sadly, in such situations, most resources never make it to the persecuted church, because most funds go to mosques to provide help for Muslims in their community who have been impacted. That’s why we, the Church in the West, need to step up and help our persecuted brothers and sisters in these Islamic countries.

Through our partnership with churches in Syria and house groups in Turkey, we have set up a February Earthquake Initiative. Every donation will be used to provide for the families who have lost their homes, their jobs, and their families.

This initiative will continue for as long as it needs to: we want to help as many persecuted families as we can, and we need your help! Please consider giving monthly. 

After the earthquakes, we tried to reach out to our partners in Turkey and Syria to check if they were okay, and some responded to let us know they were alive. These are their stories: 

• Faten in Syria watched a building fall next to her home, and like many others, she and her family are still sleeping on the streets, not sure if their homes are safe to be occupied.

• Adil and his family in Turkey lost their house and everything they own in the earthquake.

• Ahlam and her husband who live in Syria woke up from their sleep on Monday to the earthquake and ran out of their home with their three children. The whole neighborhood was in the streets, trying to avoid falling debris.
